What is a security sticker?

A security sticker — also called an egg shell sticker, tamper-evident label, or destructible seal — is a sticker printed on a special paper substrate that breaks into small flakes the moment someone tries to peel it off. It can’t be removed cleanly and can’t be reapplied. If a seal has been broken, you can see it instantly.

The name “egg shell” comes from how the paper behaves: it cracks and fragments under stress, just like an actual eggshell. We print these stickers digitally on egg shell paper at our Singapore production facility, with full-colour CMYK and the same artwork flexibility as our standard label stickers.

What makes our security stickers different

Most “tamper-evident” stickers in the Singapore market are printed on destructible vinyl from overseas suppliers, in fixed colours and minimum runs in the thousands. We do it differently:

• Egg shell paper, not vinyl. Egg shell paper holds digital ink crisply, which means sharper logos, smaller text, and accurate brand colour matching — important if you’re using these as warranty seals or branded packaging tape.
• Digital print run, not offset. Order from 100 pieces upward. No 5,000-piece minimum. Good for short brand runs, pilot batches, and asset-tagging projects where you only need a hundred labels.

• Custom shape and size. Square, rectangle, oval, round, or fully custom die-cut. We’ll cut it to the dimension you need.

What egg shell stickers are used for

Singapore customers most often use security stickers for:

• Warranty seals on electronics — phones, laptops, accessories, repair tags. If the seal is broken, the warranty’s been touched.
• Asset tags and IT inventory labels — laptops, AV equipment, machinery. The tag stays on for the life of the asset because it can’t be peeled off intact.
• Tamper seals on packaging — cosmetics, supplements, food packaging, courier parcels. Customer can see the seal hasn’t been broken before the product reaches them.
• Anti-counterfeit branding — brand authenticity stickers on premium goods. Once peeled, they’re gone — counterfeiters can’t reuse them.
• Season passes and access permits — gym memberships, parking permits, event passes. Once on, they stay on; can’t be transferred.
• VOID-style office security — confidential file seals, server access labels, audit trail markers.

Ordering your security stickers

Use the order calculator above to set your size, shape, quantity and finishing. Some quick notes that aren’t covered in the standard flow:

• Print only one design per order quantity. If you have 3 different artwork files, treat each as a separate order line — quantities can’t be split across designs.
• Bleed: 2mm on each side. Safe zone: 4mm on each side. Egg shell paper trims slightly differently from standard sticker paper, so we keep these margins generous to avoid edge fraying.
• Test fit recommended. If this is your first egg shell run and you’re applying it to a non-flat surface (curved bottle, textured packaging, anodised metal), order 100 first and test the fragmentation behaviour on the actual surface before scaling up.
• Indoor use is best. Egg shell paper is engineered for fragmentation, not weatherproofing. For outdoor, wet, or high-friction applications, switch to our UV DTF stickers instead — they use a tougher film + ink stack that handles weather.

Frequently asked questions

Is “egg shell sticker” the same as “security sticker”?

Yes. “Egg shell sticker” describes the paper material; “security sticker” describes the function. In Singapore, both names point to the same product — a tamper-evident sticker that can’t be cleanly removed once applied. We list it under “security sticker” because that’s the term most buyers search for, but the material is the same egg shell paper used industry-wide.

What’s the difference between egg shell paper and destructible vinyl?

Both are tamper-evident. Egg shell paper takes digital print better — sharper colour reproduction, finer text, and lower minimum runs (we start from 100 pieces). Destructible vinyl is tougher in outdoor / wet environments but typically only available in fixed colours from overseas suppliers in much larger minimums. For most Singapore use cases — warranty seals, asset tags, indoor packaging — egg shell paper is the right call.

How small can I order?

Minimum order is 100 pieces per design. There’s no lower threshold beyond that, and there’s no surcharge for short runs.

Can the sticker be removed at all?

It will come off if you work at it long enough — but only in fragments, leaving paper residue stuck to the surface. That’s the whole point. The label can’t be removed and reapplied somewhere else, and any tampering attempt leaves a visible mark.

Will it stick to my product surface?

Egg shell stickers use a high-tack water-sensitive adhesive that bonds to most clean, dry, smooth-to-medium-textured surfaces: glass, plastic, painted metal, anodised aluminium, paperboard. It performs less well on silicone-treated surfaces, oily finishes, raw timber, and very low-energy plastics like polyethylene. If you’re not sure, send us a sample of the surface and we’ll test fit.

Do you print holographic or VOID-pattern security stickers?

Not currently — the security sticker product line on this page is egg shell paper only. If you need a hologram laminate or VOID release pattern, WhatsApp us at +65 8438 1313 with your spec and we’ll quote it as a custom job.
